Free Web Hosting and Domain Name

In the 15+ years that I have been in the Internet business, I have never heard of a truly free web hosting service. There are many services out there, but most of them come with a catch like being able to blog on their blogging platform but not being able to use your own domain name, or being able to use their site builder but they’ll charge you for the web hosting. Well, I think I finally found one that is really free. Literally, One.com.

One.com is offering an “unheard of” promotion: FREE web hosting, 1-click WordPress installation, FREE email, FREE domain name, and a FREE website builder for one year at no cost. The free promotion limits your hosting space to 15GB, but for most starter sites, that’s plenty of space. You can always upgrade for more space if your site gets bigger later on. Put it this way, I don’t use that much space for any of my sites.

I don’t see how an offer could be any less riskier. Try out their service and if you don’t like it, just cancel before the year is up. If you like what they offer, keep it. Simple as that.
